Description

Antwerp has it all. This gorgeous city located on the banks of the Scheldt River, where the wellknown painter Peter Paul Rubens lived his last years, is also one of the most important ports in Europe. Our guided tour of the old town will begin at the impressive 13th century castle that guarded the city and its medieval river port. The Cathedral of Our Lady, one of the most imposing in the Benelux, will welcome you with its countless paintings by world-class artists from the 17th century, including masterpieces by Rubens.
We will also take you to the gothic guild houses at the Market Square and the wonderful Antwerp train station, considered by many as the most beautiful in the world. Our last stops will be the diamond district and the Jewish district. Before you leave Antwerp, try a 'Bolleke', a delicious local beer.
